so I repacked it the other day, put it back together, and took it for a few rides.
now I notice the plastic is (was) touching the pipe, and its melted a little bit, why did that happen now and not before? everything was put back together the exact same when I repacked the muffler.
I always wondered what the funny smell was coming from my bike when I started it... now I learn its burnt plastic

yeah, you guys were right.
the top screw for the pipe somehow rattled itself out, and the pipe fell about an inch causing it to lean on the plastic while I was playing in the mud ![]()
case closed. thanks.

No worries, happened to mine to. And after a while it just broke off. But, i mean it adds a vintage feel to my bike LOL. I kinda like it.
