2001 kx 125 help!!

Hey guys,
If anyone can help me with this please reply.
So, i have a kx125 2001... i just put in a new clutch but something else is wrong. i installed the new one because when i would shift into first it would grind and now i put it in any gear and it doesn't engage. did i *** up or did something break in the internal shift system The clutch lever is really loose making it really easy to pull like to easy as if a spring went or something. if anyone has any idea wuts going on let me know

well thanks for the replies guys, not to helpful but its the thought that counts. and chud i'm not retarded i think i would know if my cable was hooked up or not
