Clean your pipe and silencer?

Has anyone ever heard of cleaning your pipe and silencer?Thanks for any help!!

It's an urban myth... kinda like cleaning your airfilter, servicing your topend/valves, or changing your oil.

LOL Skip. Yes and welcome to the board. There are different methods for cleaning the pipe. But re packing the muffler is standard. Use the search option and if you can't find what your looking for post back and we will be glad to help.

Fine Woods, just spoil my fun ![]()
I prefer WD40 in the pipe, as it instantly dissolves the old gummy premix oil, while still leaving a lubricating film. I have friends who use hot soap and water, or contact cleaner, but I worry it will cause rust to begin forming in the pipe.
As for the silencer, it's typical to repack it every 20-30 hours of riding. The easiest way is to use one of the manufacturors pre-formed pillows.

skip the easiest way i found is to use copper pipe insulater. you know like the insulation that you put on the copper pipe and *** in your house.
