Im going to buy a yz250f and I have been looking at a lot of 01's and 02's. The newer ones like the 03's and 04's are a little bit higher in price and I was wondering if there are significant changes in the bike like weight, power, suspension that would make the newer ones worth the money. So whats you opinion on the yz250f's throughout the years?

All i have to say is be very leary when buying those time bombs. I would stay far away from 01/02/03/04 250f's. being a four stroke, a rebuild will run you in the thousands. 2 stroke = couple hundred. If possible, buy a brand new 250f. I know it might not be possible, but might save you in the end.

yes. you nailed it. i wouldn't buy a used 4 stroke unless i had receipts for the parts of a topend. in his/her name. you need proof for this kinda stuff. he can tell you whatever they want. ~pat
