I have a 1998 cr 80, I think it is really loud, so I was wondering what type of silencer is quiet, but also cheap. It has a stage 2 cylinder in it, And I was using a BR9 EG spark plug, and a previous owner told me to use BR9 ES, because the stage 2 cylinder in it, is this true?

A br10eg is the manufacturer recommended plug. What is a 2 stage cylinder?

I have always used br10eg in my 02 CR80.

Maybe your silencer needs to be repacked.

Yeah, i was thinking of buying some 2 stroke fiberglass packing stuff, and then if that didnt work, buying a new silencer.

And I dont really know what the stage 2 cylinder is, I guess there was a guy that owned the bike before I did, and he raced it, and he put a stage 2 cylinder in it. I really dont have any other information about it.

i have never heard of this in a 2stroke so i couldnt tell you what it is but i have heard of this in 4 strokes.

stock plug is a br10eg, or br10es. they are the same plug basically.

you can use a br9eg or br9es though.

i would call up the person you bought the bike off and ask him what the stage 2 cylinder is.
