i currently race an 01 yz250f and am really dissapointed with the yamalube oil(very worn down and just seems not to last after only 5 to 7 hrs ride time) that my manual says to run..i am involved with lucsa oils through their tractor pulling program and have come in possesion of about 3 cases of lucas motorcycle oil and was wonderin if this would be ok to run in my bike.i curently run it in a 2006 suzuki boulevard c50 and love it but just wondering if it would b ok in a dirtbike thank you for any answeres or opinions you can provide  

It is fine to use.

Out of curiousity, which Yamalube are you using?  The DR guys got over 200 hours out of a WR250, and the motor was in great shape!  They didn't change every 5-7 hours like they were supposed to either.  Are you sure you don't have an airfilter problem that's allowing dirt into your motor (and hence, into your oil?)

Here we go again!

im running the yamalube R4 in the recommended weight for my tempature at the time.i dont believe its the filer due to the fact i clean the filter after every ride to prevent any contaminants from entering the carb and worming through the motor and i change 2 a new filter usually every month or so to keep a real good filter in there,though it could be happening even after doing all that i really dont know...and its not so much a dirty oil its more of a thing where when i change it it seems really thin and just dont seem like it would be protectin much. thanks skip for the reply(i figured if any1 on this forum would have the answer it b u.
