Okay, let me hip you cats up to something. My vette has a traction system that can be engaged by a push of the botton and can monitor off the LED screen. And unless (Z) rated package the fuel injection will shut down at 130ish. Din't know that it's on a porsche as well. It's a saftey feature mandated in the U>S. If you look on the door panel and inside your glove compartment, those numbers need to match a Z rated car or better to handle the speed. Mine is numbers matching and the speedo will go 'til the car can't go anymore.
Without a Z or better rated package, the engine will shut down and lose power right around 110 on Vettes and a little higher on Porsches as a turbo will shut down. This was mandated in the U.S. during the changeover of safety requirements of high speed vehicles in the '90s. You could have an LT1 V8, and the car will not go over 110 because the injection system will shut down since it's not Z rated suspension and tire-wise package, which costs a lot more. My TA is numbers matching, has 165 mph speedo, and will do 145-150 since it doesn't shut down.
The reason why you put in a power chip to these high performance cars is to be able to go into the PCM and shut off the regulator and adjust timing and fuel as such. My Vette is numbers matching and Z rated with (W) rated tires, which is better than Z. It also has a full electronically-controlled traction system. Will put up a pic with the gauges.
The car is heavy with a lot of power and set up for the quarter mile. That Porsche will be dead even with this Vette in the quarter mile, but it's light, and if it's not in the groove properly, I'll smoke it like a Cuban cigar.
Just the facts, only the facts. YZWoods

Smoke like a Cuban cigar - LOL! I love it! ANd that's pretty much exactly what happens.
Not sure if mine has a restrictor chip or not, but I've had her north of 145 on an empty road at the Kansas border She was still pulling, but I backed off...

Yeah i'm not shure on your car because it was made in germany. But my TA was actually built in Canada and still needed the Z packege. If you go on a porsh sight you can get the #'s that will tell you what they should be on the glove compartment. But I cant see Porshe limmiting there cars. GM...Yes lol. If you had it at 140 the i really doubt it. On the TA's, Vette's, Comaro, fourmula, they all have it in the 90's cars. Stupid really, Why make a car that can do 160-180 and make the fuel injection shut down at 110. But made it easy to revers, And they also lied about Raw HP lol. To apease the powers that be. THEN, Just stoped making alot of the cars! Puszys. Any way After all the smack talk lol. Would not put money down racing that turbo. I don't know how to race with NOZ and might need it. What HP does that put to the ground skip?

Also STOCK the vette will put down only 14's in the 1/4 that i'v seen. It needs to be opened up. As i'm doing. Then with the right driver you can break the 9's.
