Ok I have adjusted sag on my bike and have about 2.5 inches of sag with me on the bike full equipment. I have lost a lot of pre load by backing it out. I like the sag setting but it is squirrely at high speed strait away. Turns great and runs great on track, no bottoming either. In addition the gas chamber for the shock moves a bit if you try to turn it. Should this be tight? Its not broke just a little loose. Should I consider putting a softer spring on the bike so I can pre load it more?

It should be fairly tight.  CHeck the upper and lower bolts - if they are tight, then the shock bearings are probably worn out.

You're sag sounds off - 62.5mm is too little, and is likely affecting your straight line stability.  You need to back off the preload, but it sounds like you already have, and now you're static sag is probably too great.  I'd say you need a lighter spring.

sag set up

you need 100-120mm of race sag and 25-45mm of free sag. 25.4 mm = 1" follow that link it will show you how to set up the sag. if you need a new spring then replace the front ones too. if you get one size softer in the rear then get one size softer in the front too.

it should move slightly. i just installed brand new bearings on my bike like a week ago and mine moves just a little bit.

also if you bought the bike used then set adjusters back to stock. the previous owner might have screwed around with them not knowing what they were doing and this could be messing up the handling.
