Make sure none of your carbs vent tubes are folded or pinched. Pull out your main jet and inspect it for clogs or debris.
Does it sound like it's running out of gas or loading up?
What does your plug look like?

try using a brand new plug. cleaned ones dont work, and a cleaned plug will act the way that your describing.

well my 1998 rm 125 was doing the same. i no its alot but im ganna explain the story to try to make a checklist for you or sometin as a guideline. well i bought it for 350 bucks missing a cdi seat and airfilter it was a recovered theft. i replaced those. no spark so i got a new stator right. then it would run. the pipe sounded clogged and we found 1 gallon of water in the head pipe. and the plug was milky white. after that was taken care of it would only run off starting fluid and mystery oil as a lubricant for a few secounds. so the carb was cleaned. it was pure green like it hasent run in 6 years. after that was completely rebuult it started first kick. no idle and at powerband it would hickup and sputter. we were stuped. re adjusted everything in the carburator and the same thing right. then the o ring underneath the main jet was ripped. replaced and the same thing. just 2 days ago we go to check the exhaust powervalve cause it was overlooked and my uncle said they seemed kinda sticky. i wasnt there so that is our next area to look at. i am srry it was so long and im just trying to help. if you can figure it out post here and i will try on my bike. P.S. i was told not to run a race plug in the woods because the fowl easier just as some extra help.

it is most likely a rich main jet or stuck powervalve, but i just wanted to see if it would run correctly on a new plug. and trying to jet a bike with a bad plug is stupid because you will never get it to run right. thats another reason why i said to try a new plug.

yup well my uncle should be working on those powervalves soon. i would consider him a vet. like woods, skip, elk,DC and all the others on here. he just got a new gf tho. (his wife died 2 years ago) and hes been very busy. thats why its taken so long to get my bike running.
