My name is Brian, I'm new here and saw a few posts about ATK.
I'm thinking about buying my son a 01 ATK125 that was the original owers sons bike.
The bike appears to be in great shape, but i really don't know anything about the bikes except that they're american made which is enough for me.
I'm looking for more background as far as their reliablity and power range for trail riding.
The shop wants 1395 for it, would that be a good price for this bike?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Brian

Refer to the goodby thread. Pat is unable to find parts for his ATK.

allright. i have a 1997 atk 250lq. the bike is nasty! nasty good. when it runs. thats the down fall. a normal maintanence job ends up being a couple hundred dollars on account of there are very few parts for these bikes. the 125 is no exception, is was perhaps their least sold model. but the price is fair for this bike. there are people out there willing to buy them. there is an atk forum. forgive me for not putting up a blue link but i have no patience right now. http://www.atkmotorsports.com/atkbb/
would be the link. i wouldn't bother with it. best to get a brand that is popular. iwas fooled by the made in america thing. ~pat

How irronic is it that as soon as Pat posts how bad his ATK250 is, someone posts another thread about getting one! LOL I mean before Pat came along, I had never heard of an ATK!
