allright good point elko. now that i ahve completely reviewed everything. it does sound like it had a worn topend. whihc allows for osme not wanted movement of the piston inside the cylinder. or even a bad crnak bearing. if he had over revved it, it would have seized immediately and you wouldn't have a chance to try to start it. like elko said a peice of something whether it be skirt, circlip or a peice of your ring might have broken off and is stuck somewhere. good look and good choice about doing this yourself. save you money and you'll gain knowledge. ~pat
