kx 250 wont start

i have a 1988 kx 250 just put a new top in in it and new reedvalves,i trieyed pulling it it tries to start but it does not it has great fire great compression can some body please help.thanks

did you.. change the oil, clean the carb and drain all old gas out, putting fresh 93 octaine in with w/e mix your running it at? a new plud is a must as well. over time your gas goes bad and forms a gunk that plug everything up ~pat

the bike has a new pluge,and the carb has been cleaned new gas.the carb has a really big jet in it and a fmf fatty pipe do you know what size it should be.thanks

i looked on fmf's website. i think they only give the stock info for your bike.
main jet 172
needle is stock and in the 3d position
the airscrew is 1.5 turns out

thats what fmf says to use. ~pat

thanks for the info the carb is wright then some one told me that it mite be out of timing i think is is firing a the wrong time.i am going to try moving the timing plate.thanks
