Thinking of making the jump from a 2-stroke to a 4-stoke.  I currently have a KX 250 and really only ride in the woods/trails and love the thing!  Some have told me that jumping to a 450 4-stroke would would be fun, but would be too much power and too heavey and slow me down in the woods. But I would kick butt on a track or sand. Anyone out there come from the same spot. Any 4-stroker better than the others?  Honda? Kawai? Yami?

well whoever you told you that you would have to much power is full of it...
yeah, they are alot more heavy but i ride with tons of people that use thumpers and they keep up just fine. you cant have too much power, its simple, when you need it, its there, and when you don't its not...

to tell you the truth, i would keep the kx if its still in good shape if you are just riding trails, unless gas mileage becomes a problem...

personally i like two strokes in the trails but thats just me.
i guess give the thuper a shot and see how you like it, but they do not have too much power trust me, its just like riding your bike but its just more torquey

get the color you want. there all good. and the 250 two stroke is king of the woods. nothing beats it in the woods. and actually dirt rider mag did a test like a month or so ago to find the best mx bike and the 250 two stroke won.
