Hi,
Buying replacement, precut tubing, for my carburetor seems excessively expensive if it's simply clear tubing.
Here is the link to the OEM parts list with the tubing prices: http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/.../Kawasaki.aspx for a Kawasaki : KX125-M1 2003 model.
My question is this. Is that tubing of a particular type (fuel grade?) and can it be bought in quantity for use with refitting carbs? If so, and if there are different sizes available ... how do I know what size I need. I see, in the parts list above for example - TUBE,3.5X6.5X630 - is the 3.5 the inner diameter? Obviously that would be important as it has to fit snuggly on the fittings. What are the other 2 dimensions? One must be length ...
Anyone know a good source for this tubing?

Try denniskirk.com they sell it in 5 ft. lengths, I believe you have the same thing as the 3/16 inside diameter tubing. I am going to try that when my bike gets here.

Thanks! I hadn't see the denniskirk site before - nice!
That's interesting about the aquarium tubing! So it would be fine with gasoline running through it at high temps?
Thanks Dodge

I found this link:
https://ssl.perfora.net/www.advancedperformanceaccessories.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=1548c506f5a82e5/shopdata/index.shopscript
Go to "Product Overview" > MOTOCROSS/DIRT BIKE > MX Hose Coloring Kit
Looks pretty cool - can get color of choice. They have kits or buy in bulk.

it works very well, fuel temps are actually lower than you would think. a 25 ft roll is about $4.00.
