Hey i am turning 12 years old i am 4.10ft and 48kg. I do not race I just ride on dirt places, I want lots of power and I have to keep this bike for 2 years so which bike is faster people say that rm85 have powervalves
What does bottom end and top end mean
Am i right a top end is quick of the line but i dont know what bottom end is, so how will a top end feel, and how will a bottom end feel
and which bike has more power, and goes faster
Thanks

A YZ 85 is the nastiest 85 on the planet. And you have it backward. Bottom end is low gear pull, Top end is high gear pull within the gear rang. The YZ is the fastest. BUT hits hard in the power band and can be a handfull and takes practice with the clutch and throttle. How long have you been riding?

really either one is a better deal is what I would do. I rode my best friends 2007 yz85 and the thing has NO bottom end but when you hit your powerband the thing pulls hard.

yz! best made 85 and the yz line is hte best 2 stroke line in my opinion. top end is basically your top speed and hihger rpm power. the "top" of each gear whereas hte bottum end means the acceleration and lower rpm power. woods is right they have a crazy powerband but once you get over the intimidation it will be such a blast you'll never want to ride anything else. friend has one, he had it bored after a blowup and that thing whoops a kx and a cr 125. ~pat
PEACE GUYS ITS BEEN A BLAST!!!!! ~patrick

i have been riding for like 1 year
but i rid my cousin pw50 a lot when i was little like 6
i am on a 70cc 4 stroke now but i have been doubled on lots of 250 2 strokes and i really like 2 strokes so i want 1. I know it will be hard for me to go on a yz85 but i will learn and get used to it

well no crap. of course you are going to tear a 85 up. look at the displacement difference. Anyway Honda96 i would go with the YZ85.

my friend's yz85 that I rode was Kameron Page's old race/practice bike, so it might have had engine mods done to it also.

yeah. some of those 85 riders are insane though. there are kids at my local track that ride 85s and they spank some of the 125 riders

85's do not have bottom end power. they are great bikes though. it will take you a little to get used to it because it is completely different then your 70 or that pw50. trust me that bike will land you on your ass a few times. that bike has a mean powerband. just stick through it and within 2 years you will learn to be a great rider on it. after like 2-3 years go to a 125.
yeah i wouldnt brag about beating an 85. and i can say until a few months ago i could pull a lot better lap times on my 85. its just easier to ride an 85. its easier to keep it pinned all the time. now that i have a full year on my 125 i can ride my 125 a lot better though and the 85 just doesnt stand a chance. what i am saying is that rider about counts for 95% and the bike counts for 5%. but drags count for nothing. in a drag its the other way around. probably like 65% bike and 35% rider. which i am guessing that you raced that 85 in drag, 2strokes1. i could probably kick your ass in a drag. and probably on a trackk too. even though i have a 125. is that suppose to mean my 125 is just great or your 250 sucks? well my 125 is all stock, so its the rider and not the bike.
