I usually get my gas at chevron because i have never gotten a bad tank of gas there
but i have gotten a bad tank of gas at arco  
so where is it you would recommend and where have you gotten a bad tank of gas before?

Buy your gas from a busy gas station! Than you know you are getting fresher gas.

Dont buy gas from the PUMP-N-MUNCH corner store! Chances are they sell more cigs and beer, than they do gas.

well i dont know about in the states but up in canada you can get sunoco ultra 94, that is some good gas

The airport...100 octaine AVGas  

really i wonder if i could get gas at the airport? there is a lil one bout 15 mins from my house

You should be able to, there's no restrictions on it.  

100 octane, is over kill. It might actually start to decrease your engine performance!

Thanks man for the welcome, and on a CR125 (or any 2 stroke motor) it makes a huge difference.  Go buy a gallon (or 5) and compare how your 125 runs with it vs 93 or 91 (depending on where you live).  It's all we put thru our 2 and 4 stroke bikes now.  

Yeah, but there was a thread a while back. That was all about different octanes. And someone said something about 100 octance will decrease performance, or something like that. Oh well! LOL

Here's the low down on octane (quick version).  The higher the number the harder it is to ignite.  This is why you see higher octane ratings used by people with turbos, superchargers or people who advance their ignition timing...you don't want it to go BOOM before it's supposed to.  This is probably why in a previous thread it said something to the tune of "you're throwing your money away because your car/bike doesn't need it."  Well, 2 strokes really like it
And yes, I put higher octane gas in my truck (not avgas) because it adjusts the timing acording to what gas is in the truck and gives it more power...and I like more POWER!  There's a significan difference between 87 and 89 in it, and it's worth it to me.

AV Gas is leaded and should not be used in vehicles that have emmision controls (read: o2 sensors and cats) because it will clog them up and make them useless.  

So, whatever floats your boat is fine by me...I just like the smell of it, lol.  

Like chud i get mine from a busy station. And i know its fresh because between my  vette and TA i'm there every friggin day DOH! lol. But my bike runs great with 93.
