hate to ask someone 2 fix my bike over the net but i am new to engine repair,i have a 2000 rm 250 bought the bike used cause i cant afford a new bike,person i bought the bike said he had i ported and polished?? never had it in 5th but today.2 miles in to the ride white smoke poured out like i was  mesquito control. oil came out of exhaust and spark arres..looked like water in spark plug comp.is good did not run long after i noticed well i couldnt it stalled need info i will tear it down

hey you got kmoe! allright. you say it looks like there's water on your plug. if thats what she looks like chances are thats whats up with it. ussually this is becuase of a worn head gasket. so you say your ready to do a tear down. i'd start small. take teh fatty- the pipe of the exhaust off, there will probaly be water in it. drain that water, then take the head off, thats the very top of the cylinder. ussually held on by 5 or 6 bolts. now if you dont have a manual this can get tricky so before i get into more detail you should probably have one. anyway, that said, loosen the head bolts in a criss cross pattern not loosening them all the way. this is too keep the head from warping in anyway. now under that there should be atleast one rubber oring type of gasket. and your vylinder head. the gasket is probably worn or cracked. replace that, and torque the head back down to proper pressure. your gonna want soem enw oil in it as well as a new plug. btw. when was the last time this had a top end rebuild?? ~pat

Pull the coolent pump and you should see your problem in the form of a blown seal.
Going to need to flush out, check for crack head, bottom end infulltration, crank ect...
Shure the rest of the gang will chime in. But my opinion. And welcome to the board kmoe. No stupid questions here.

hes just informed me that he has massive blow by. hasn't gotten back to me as far as the cause but i hope it aint serious kmoe! ~pat

So he lost a pump seal and his top end?
This is a tare down. But could be cheap if no bottom end issues.

yeah i dont know how he knows its blow by if he hasnt torn it down yet! but he says he just finished disiel school so he must know something... i dont know if im getting all that hes trying to tell us. ~pat

That coolent is nasty on a moter. And i assume the rings are shot. Somone did somthing wrong .

yea i am here well man it was just polished the head looks more gray than the rest ya know uh. the guy said it has new piston crnk bottom was gone over i am kinda familar with torque and have some budies that have been inside the crank is seperate from the head right

the head it is more shinny than the rest.the smell was not like a sweet smell like a burnt 4 stroke oil smell uhuhuh dunno sucks man

So after reading your OTHER thread you have no coolent in the trans case , But you have water in the head?
Then pat says your getting blow bye???

Wow you just posted 3 times in between mine.
Can you snap a pic of the piston and ring ect... Will help alot.

water in head water in "spark plug"
blow by yea will not run long blow by as in Heavy White Smoke

Got ya. Check other post you have up. Unless your running pure water in the rad or getting mass condinsation then....well just check your other thread k.
