it might have water in it. key work might. if there isnt it means nothing. but if there is its a good indication that you've got a lot of water in your cylinder. you could also check your coolant levels. wich is also easy. but yes, thats one of the easiest ways to check. ~pat

Hi just got on and read the thread. Here is my opinion. I think the head gasket was put on wrong or was bad from the start.
I do not think there is anything wrong with the pump seal or you would have milky oil.
Usually when the head gasket is bad there would be a lot of coolant blowing out of the overflow tube from the radiator. But since there is a lot of white smoke it could still be seapping through somehow.
I don't care what Spectro claims. Your bike wants a 32:1 premix. Just because you changee the type of oil you are using does not mean the bike is jetted for it. Your bike needs that oil for lubing parts, and when it is set up for a certain amount of oil it needs it.
Your piston is possibly OK, but I would change the rings and inspect the cylinder. It is very easy to do and will only take a few hours the first time. (significantly less time after you know what you are doing) Just be sure to get a manual to guide you through the steps.
