stator?

I am a beginner so I have no clue of what im doing so can you guys help. I have no clue of what kind of bike I have, I know it is chinese and resembles the cr125.
This is my question and other problem, every so often the bike will not fire, I have come to the conclusion its the stator? my question is, when I opened it up it was full of oil making the stator wet. is this normal? Please be gentle with me...

you have nothign to be scared about lol. welcome to teh board mystery bike man. behind your stator and magneto is a seal where the crank goes through, that seal probably needs replacing. do you have a manual and a parts book? ~pat

No I do not have a parts book or a manual.....all I have is the vin and no one can tell me what kind of bike it is, however a guy did tell me it is a chinese version of the cr125. anyway so that is the problem its not suppose to be wet? right?

ahh yuppp. the staro and magneto unit is like a generator. teh coils spin around the magnet and generate electricity. you get water/oil in there and it can ruin the connection. yo need to get that seal replaced. do you have a picture of the bike? whats it say on the cylinder? if i had a lead i might be able to find out what brand it is. ~pat

I will go outside and look, I dont have a camera that will upload for some stupid reason, anyway the title says it is a 2004 DAJN. No clue of who or what that is?

i doubt we will figure this out unless we have a pic. and if it is a chinese look alike then we will probably never get it solved. their is like one company that makes these bikes and puts them out under different names.
