Hello,
this is my first time on this type of site.   I'm a single mom that knows nothing about the mechanical end of bikes.  My son rides and we have a Suzuki 60cc 2-stroke.   His brakes are not working (at all).   Any recommendations on where to bring it to be looked at & fixed.   I'm on a tight budget and don't want to be ripped off because I don't know what I need, etc.  But, I can't have him riding with no brakes (he's crazy enough as it is!)
Thanks for any help.

p.s.  would love to find someone who's good at this stuff that maybe I can use as things come up.  I'm in the Apex/Cary area.  

Describe what the brakes are doing wrong?

Most shops charge $85 an hour, so if you don't want to pay that then maybe we can help you fix it!

One common problem is air in the lines.  You pull the lever and it just goes all the way in without any resistance (and without much braking power).  If this is the case, we can walk you through bleeding the brakes.

Another common problem is worn-out pads.  We can help you assess the condition of the pads, and even help you replace them!

Are they disc or drum brakes?
