ok, so I brought my dirtbike into the shop. I brought the dirtbike, set of DNA rims, kenda rear tire, and back brake caliper and told them to put it all on ( about 800$ worth of stuff).
a week later they call me and tell me I need a new rear rotor (140$) and new brake pdds on that used caliper I brought in (40$).
so they call me today and tell me the bike is done, and the total. now I was expecting the total to be around 300-400. they told me the bill is 820 *** dollars!!!!!!!! you gotta be kidding me, I was told they charge 75 an hour for labour, is that reasonable?
is that a rip off or what? 820 god damn dollars, I almost fainted when I heard that voicemail. so for $1600+ dollars I got dna rims, new rear tire, and whole new rear brake setup, does that sound right? its mostly stock too, not like I got top of the line parts.

no that dont sound right! the hourly rate is what the place closest to me charges i believe. but no way was that many hours involved

I was being sarcastic! I dont think it should take that long, but maybe installing pads hooking up the brake line and bleeding the brakes took a long time.

yeah but 8 hours hahaha. i dunno. i think its a ripoff. but wth can you do now? look for something wrong. they allways make a mistake or two. or i'll bet tehy scratched the rims a bit. take it back and make em do something for free next time. ~pat

They just made the payroll for 1/2 day of work.

no, all that was needed was to take my old tires/rims off, and swap em with the new rims, the new rims were 100% ready to go. I also bought "moose tubes" so unless those are 250$ each theres something wrong.
I bought moose tubes, back rotor, and brake pads, that makes up for about 250$, but where does th othr 600$ come from? hourly wage? im so pissed off right now, thats ridiculous.
there wont be a next time, I will NEVER go back to them again after this bullshlt.
800$ on rims, then 800 to get them installed, what a joke.

you should have just done it yourself. just took the wheels off yourself and took them in and they will charge kyou like 30 dollars to put the tire and tube on the new wheel. it would have took less then an hour to do all the work yourself.

hahaha. yeah. i ussualy reccomend doing it as much as you can before going to teh dealer. but still. thats a lot of money for what they did. ask them why ti took so long ~pat

i would go down screaming at them and ask for an exact record for how much time they spent on the bike, and if its more then 2 hours then ask them what the hell they were doing. i would tear them apart if that happened to me. i am telling you make a big deal out of it, you always get free stuff when you make a big deal out of it.

I will do that, then tell them *** off, keep the bike, and ill go steal it back later that night.
now I know next time, I will do as much as I can, I cant wait to go see how they justify that.
