i am going to get an aftermarket pipe for my 1996 RM125 and i was looking at a FMF Fatty, because my bike already has a Powercore 2 sliencer. Should i get that pipe or would a Pro Circuit be better?

wats wrong with the stock one. and the only pipe fmf offers for your bike is the fatty. and fmf silencer with pc pipe is dumb.

I myself would prefer PC over FMF, but if you already got an FMF silencer, get the same brand of fatty

yea i thought a pc pipe with an fmf silencer is dumb but ive seen a lot of bikes like taht so i thought i would ask. My stock pipe is all dented up and i want little more horsepower also.

pipes dont add hp. they move the powerband and thats it. if you want more hp then get a big bore or head work or port and polish or some kind of engine work or mod.

Theres alot of mods u can do to get more out of your bike. If i was you i would get the pipe first though b/c yours is all dented and it would make your bike look good.

there are two times i recommend pipes and its for appearance purposes and bragging to friends and for trail riders i recommend the gnarly. but other then that i think pipes are a waist of money, and so are aftermarket reeds. stock pipes are normally pretty good, but i do recommend everyone get a fmf titanium 2 or powercore 2 silencer, stock silencers are crap. although i think PC has better pipes.

if it was me i would go with the procircuit works or platnium. its the same pipe, the works just doesnt have the polished finished...

elko is right, it wont add power, but they will make the power that you have alot more useable...

reeds are the same way, although they might actually ass horsepower not sure though...

either way a little story, i had a cr 250 with the pc pipr and v force reeds and it killed my buddies stock cr 250
