So this might be a dumb question but I'm new to dirt bikes, I just bought a honda CR125 2003 two stroke dirt bike and I don't know how much tranny fluid to put in it, and the clutch is very touchy when I let off the clutch it dies out, I have to do it very slowly to get it to go is that right?

Do you have an owner's manual? If so, it should tell you how much there should be. If not I can tell you what an '01 takes. As for the clutch question, yea you just got let it go smoothly.

on my 2002 it takes i think 650 ml or something like that. just take the check screw off and when it flows out your good. for the clutch, nice and easy out, slowly and give it some gas.

Thanks guys for the answers, I'm going to screw around with the clutch settings today, and do you usually let it run for awhile to warm up before taking off.

Oh yeah and it has no dip stick to check the tranny fluid just a black plastic plug that says oil on top of the clutch casing, so I should just fill it all the way to the top?

No. You should have a check bolt. fill till you have a little flow with the bolt out. You really need the manual!!!

Good buy. Did you find the check bolt? And what oil are you using?

So I took your advice YZWoods and looked at your before you ride guide and it was very helpful, thanks. So I found the tranny fluid check bolt and the tranny fluid he had in it was very thick and a dark grey color which I thought was odd, so I changed it out and kept putting in the honda tranny fluid until the fluid started running out of the bolt hole. but I was wonderin why the tranny fluid he had in it was a darkish grey color and so thick.

Glad it helped. Start fresh with new trans oil. The oil you drained is old thats all. As long as its not milky white or green were okay.
