ok so i just remmembered this. im not sure if they still do but i remember honda made a duel piped crf250r. what year was this. was it alot better than single piped and why. i just kinda want some information on the two.

I believe 2007 was first year. Depends on who you talk to if it was better. A number of guys put a single pipe on them.
The main benefit according to some articles was moving the weight and CG around for better handling.
Any duel pipe 250R owners care to give their opinion?

that seems to make sense. correct me if im wrong but i have a theary. lets just right a normal exhaust has like say 1 package of packing in it. and then a duel piped bike would have half a package in each. does that make snese? to keep the back preasure the same.

Same packing in each pipe. the first year was 2005 or 2006 and its suppose to make handling better...
it felt exactly the same to me as the 04 with a single pipe...
it could also just be a conspiracy with honda and after market pipe companies that just get to charge double now ![]()
but who really knows

well the 450 has a single pipe.i think its a marketing campaign. fmf and pc said they got the same results with both the dual and single. and i beleive the first year was 05.

yah sounds logical to me. but it looks cool but i would pay for 2 pipes.

The first year was 2006. The dual pipes don't provide any extra power, it's just for moving the center of gravity. The downside is that they do weigh a little more than the single pipes, but the changes made to the rest of the bike make up for it.

They're from 06-current. I think they were made mostly for a cool, modern look.
