As Pat would say "If I was half as smart as I think I am, I would be twice as smart as I am."

as i see it. im sorta wiht woods sorta with masterlink. i can see how the reeds would do it, and that was my thought but.. you say the reeds are good. so if i understood his post right. if you adjust the idle when it is warm it dont work for you when it is cold and when you adjust it so it works when it is cold it dont work when its hot? well, thats where masterlinks comes in. im kinda stumped on this. so it goes to stand that i would check anything that is abnormal. if everything but one thing is normal, i'll bet money its on the one abnormal thing ehh? whihc could be hte compression. ~pat

Sorry guys it's been at least a week - Ive been crazy busy! I finally took a compression reading - it is 175PSI. But I noticed while I was there that the bolt on the power valve was very loose - to the point I'm sure it wasn't doing anything. I can understand how this would effect the power issues but would this cause crazy idling? While trying to put it together it doesn't appear something is right. there's a conical shaped end on the bottom piece that lines up with a hole in the cylinder, but the piece that goes on top does not line up at all with the spring - should I pull up on it until it lines up and then tighten it down?

thanks

The only reason a four-stroke can beat a two-stroke is because of the double displacement advantage
