I am pretty new to motocross and i love it. my local track is also amazing it is all sand and was very diffucult to ride at first but riding on the trails that they have here eventually got me ready to ride on the main event track. They have 3 tracks there one for mini bike one for begginers and one for real races. I have done so many laps around the begginer track and i just started on the main event track. I think riding in the sand will make riding on dirt seem like a breeze.
Pleas reply...!!!!!!!!!!!!

welcome to the forum David. riding in the sand will make riding in the dirt a little easier, but depending on the types of sand and dirt (deep sand, hard pack dirt etc) different tecniques are needed. keep practicing both. have fun and be safe!!

yes, welcome!
but just like MJP said, there's lots of difference in sands and in dirts.
there's the sugar dune sand then there's like gravely sand wash sand...they feel very different. and there's hard packed dirt, then silty dirt, then gravely dirt..hahaha...
they all take different techniques, but you're practicing, and the more you practice the better you get!
