I am new to dirt biking and have bought a fixer upper.  It is a Husky 1988 125.  My delima is that it is missing the ignition and flywheel (and anything else that might be in there as I am just learning the lingo). I do still have what I call the coil.  I assume something was bad so a previous owner took it appart and never put any of it back.  I haven't had any luck finding a used set up and I am not wanting to spend the 400-500 I was quoted to buy an aftermarket set up.

My biggest reason for not wanting to spend that amount of money is that I am not sure if there are other problems or not.

So my questions, is there a way to bypass this system so that I can get the bike running to decide if it is worth putting the money into?

Are there some other used stator systems that are close enough that I could make adapters and make them work(I have a number of precision metal working tools)?

Does anyone know what the output of the stock stator was, for what I have been reading is that most are ac current but I haven't found any other specific ratings?

If none of the above, does anyone need any parts from a 88 husky?

Try ebay. Those parts will be expensive unless you can find them used.
