Who asked you to do any "bridge reconstructing" on anything? You don't represent this forum any more than I do. If Mr. Forbes doesn't want to be involved because of me, that's his problem. I'm sure the DR forum members don't appreciate having him and you dictate to them about how they put their team together. Basically, you're extorting the DR.com forum into kicking me to the curb because of your's and Pat's petty childishness. Good move. I'm sure they'll embrace you as project leader once you've managed to poison them against me. Good job, Super. I'm amazed you can see out of the hole you've dug for yourself. Keep up the good work.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE

Well all I have to say is thank God we are still in this event!  We just received some very exciting news.  Although I am still not a liberty to say what manufacturer is providing our bike until they put out a Press Release of their own I can tell you that we have just secured a very cool place in which to modify and prepare our 24 hour Torture Test Event Bike.

You all better watch out for us because we are building our bike in  the MONSTER GARAGE.  That's right, Jesse James at West Coast Choppers is going to let us build our bike at his shop in Long Beach, CA.  This should be a great venue to help inspire our chosen high school students as well a great place to gain some exposure for our build effort.

What a cool place to video our bike build.  Thank you to Jesse James and all the folks at West Coast Choppers for making this possibility a reality.

That's all for now.  Until after our meeting on Monday when I will update you further.

man, im pretty bumed were not going to be in this thing. we had alot of people with some great ideas. i see it as our whole message board that failed us not just one or two people. we worked as a team and failed as a team. and you know what? we tried hard. i say "good job every body we tried hard." its better to try and fail then to never have tried at all.

p.s. oh! and one more thing. i hope who ever is chosen to go deserves to go, and has a fun time!

Pete,

Is the event still open? If I can put together a group of guys from the Guard and put together a proposal, will Jimmy look at it? or is it too late?

Just wondering, as my first step of gettting the Okey DO Key to come was approved today. I know it will be a short fused thing, but I was just wondering.

The event is no longer open, I'm sorry to say.

The Sheriff's team is in, and they are taking the ball and running with it.  Good job, guys.

UPDATE

Hello all, thought it was time to provide a little update to the board on our progress for the 24 hour Torture Test Event.

Our selection committee will be selecting our final candidates this Saturday, November 4, 2006.  So on Sunday you will all know who are two student builders are and you will see their stuff in print here on the board the following Friday.  This article will detail how they were selected, what they hope to learn from their involvement and what they were feeling upon their selection.

We are having a one of a kind, limited edition event T-shirts made as we speak which will be available for purchase at the IMS in Long Beach when we unveil the bike.  There are only 100 shirts being made and they will sell for $25 each.  If you want one go to our website www.lasdroadracing.com and let me know you are interested in the forum section.

You will also have the opportunity to sponsor us in a per mile pledge or if you would like you can sponsor us for a flat fee.  To do this please go to our website and tell me you are interested in sponsoring us in the forum group titled "Sponsor the 24 Hour Team"

Thats all for now.
