Well first the CR, Now the KX. They already stopped making the 125, And now there doing just what honda did by selling off there remaining 250s and POOF.... there gone. Shure glad iv stuck with yamaha. The question is are you KX250 riders going to go yz to stay on a 2 stroke? or bow to the powers that be, And go 4 stroke?????? ( real question)

I dont understand what your saying becouse Kawasaki never stoped producing the 125, they did however stop selling that model in the US so are you saying that this is what they are doing with the 250cc models also or are they actualy bringing production to an for all markets around the world? I would also like to read about this myself, where did you find the info on this?

I understand what your talking about with the Honda line of CR's production coming to an end. With the Kawasaki the 125'cc just wasnt being sold in the U.S anymore but if they are going to stop producing the KX line all together that is a darn shame. I dont ride 2 strokes and I sure dont want to be compared with that 450rider becouse I respect everyone choices and not having the choice is one of the worst things that can happen to our sport/hobby. Now with that 2 stroke revival you should be careful becouse you know how the site gets when this discussion starts going and everyone GETS MAD and then people start saying hurtful things and it progresses into anarchy.

I know this is way off topic but since you brought it up, I am waiting for the results of the promotion exam to come back for the results of possibly being promoted to E-6 or EN1. It would be cool to recieve the promotion but I dont want to change my screen name becouse I am up to just over 800 posts on this name, and to change it again would start me over again. ![]()

If we can't buy them in the US does it really matter if they continue to sell them overseas. I think the YZ, SX and RM's will be around the longest since they'll have control of the niche market so they'll still make money at it. They're the best selling 2 bangers anyhow, I guess thats why they're still revising them each year and not letting go of the potential market.

That is a good question and I will try to hit all of your points. If we can't buy them in the US does it really matter if they continue to sell them overseas. Yes, becouse if they are still being produced then the option is still available to purchase them if you are willing to pay the extra cost of shipping from a overseas dealers giving the rider with a water cooled wallet the option of riding whatever he/she so chooses.I think the YZ, SX and RM's will be around the longest since they'll have control of the niche market. This is true for now becouse like you said it is now a niche market with select riders chosing the above bikes becouse they are designed with inherent strengths that are still being taken advantage of in certain racing classes where the rules havent been lopsided to allow the 4 strokes to compete with the advantage of displacement as the deciding factor in winning the races. Lastly you are very correct in viewing this as a potiential market, becouse there are still riders using the bikes in specilized styles and in forms of racing with enough persons riding for the big builders to view the market as still developing and increasing in popularity and needing products that are required to perform more every year and be a better product the keep there product name upfront for the most publicity possible and the increased sales from public opion when/if the demand for a specialized style continues increasing.
