My first bike was an XT600. My parents would not let me ride so I was an adult before I got my first bike.  I was in the Marine Corps and I shared a studio apartment with the XT.  We were a happy couple, until my wife decides to come out west and live with us.  She insisted that I leave the bike outside, so I did.  The first night it was stolen.  About 2 months later I left the wife outside and she was stolen.  Somewhere deep inside I am sure that I have forgiven her.  The next bike was a CR500.  I thought hey I rode a 600 so a 500 should be EZ. Yeah right, the 500 chewed me up and spit me out, I stepped down to a yz250.  from there it has been many and various.  We now have a KX100, KX125 and my 2001 CR250.  My new wife of 21 years loves 2 strokes, she is a fine woman and a credit to her gender.

XR100....i remember getting on that thing for the first time...it was an early 80's model and me and my brothers shared it.  Dad told us for christmas that he was teaching us to ride...so one afternoon around christmas, we went to this dirt lot and took turns learning the basics.  i'll never forget hopping on it wearing jeans, my vans, and my christmas sweater all red and white....i felt so cool.

i started on a no namer. a 150 4 stroke. way to small for me but a great bike to learn on. everything but the engine was junk. engine runs strong still, everything else has fallen apart lmfao. that was 2 years go, bought it new in august of 06 for a grand hahaha. then my 1997 atk 250 lq. a huge jump bu one i did fairly gracefully i think. no damage to me or the bike so far.course i have only like 20 hours on it
