The jets work off of different throttle positions. # 11 works at 0 -1/4 throttle
# 5 works somewhere after 1/4 throttle all the way to wide open.
other parts come into play tho like the throttle slide, its cut away and the needle.

Savvy? lol. The jets dictate air fuel consumption at certain throttle response. The pilot circuit works to idle the bike and dictate air fuel but works with the air screw and idle adjustment screw as well on 2-strokes. Hence a circuit, meaning they work together. After a quarter throttle, your needle jet takes over and handles the same air fuel increase to the carbeurator. On a 2-stroke then your power valve will open, thus letting in increased air, and your needle and main jet will adjust fuel accordingly. The main jet operates from 3/4 to full WOT (wide open throttle). The needle at half throttle and the pilot at start to quarter throttle. The main jet can work in conjunction with a plug change , since if the plug is too hot, it can be detrimental to the top end and the main jet. This is hard to explain but sure that's not your issue. I read your other post where you were not sure how rich your fuel mixture is, and that needs to be addressed first before ever touching the jetting. Hope that helps. YZWoods

Wow that was confusing. Maybe we could find a chart to show what different parts of the carburetor and at what throttle positions they control. Then we could explain exactly how each part works. Because your post was confusing woods.

remove the nut on the bottom of the carb and you will see the main jet(little brass nut), to the upper left of the main is where you'll find the pilot(removed w/ a small flat screw driver.

I understood it but I don't think someone else with little knowledge on this topic would understand it.

This is not an answer to your question but it is a good carb tuning post for the kx 125 or almost any 2 stroke. http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum/kawasaki-motocross-offroad/3625-carb-setting-kx125.html

I would really love to but I don't feel like typing that much. Maybe I will just try and find one of my previous posts on this.

Yeah we went through this a billion times. But on this one purposely did not explain where the jets are as i read the other post and i think it's not the issue and screwing with the jets would make it worse if not knowing what your doing. I over think some posts and under read others i guess. Just me.

Well I got to page 35 of my threads. Which is about a quarter of the way through my threads. I am going to try and use the search but that never works right.
