Okay, so I'm talking to my cousin on MSN and he is saying how he is looking at a 2003 CR250. He says hes going to get it, and he is coming off a CRF150. Now, he lives in Hawaii and I think all the dope and weed has got to his head. He is mad! He'll die. Yet me claims he rides 250 2 strokes all the time... He is 15 and 5' 8".
So I suggest a 125 2 stroke, or even a 250 4 stroke. But 'he says' they don't have enough power?? I'm like WTH. A 125 2 stroke has more than enough power to put his little ass around...?
Okay, another thing... I thought I remembered reading here on DR, on one of the threads, that a 125 2 stroke is equivilent to a 250 thumper? And a 250 2 stroke equivilent to a 450 thumper? Is that right?

yeah for the most part. pretty close to each other, the two stroke has a lil less power but a much nastier hit. he may or may bot handle the transtion well

So would riding a 450 thumper be much scarier than a 250 2 stroke? Because he says there is a massive difference!

they are only scary if not ridden properly, it takes a long time to learn the throttle control.

To start i'v rode both. The 250 puts out more power for the engine size, But the 450 puts out more Tourqe to the real weel. This can be good and bad. The displacment of power is good on the track. A 450 sux in the woods in my op[inion.

My nephew is only 14 and has a 03' kx125. Rides it great . He has riden my freind 00' YZ250 several times with no problems (he know his limit, but did ride it well) and he has riden my 06' KX450f a couple of times. I realy feel its the rider.
Now if he thinks he's going to just jump on a 250 and ride it like a bat out of hell, have him price a coffin to go with it.
