Ya, what happened to Jimmy's big plan of having people sign stuff and be able to ride the bike?

I believe a friend of mine has the YZ250. I am the sales manager at a Honda store in Charlotte, NC. We also have Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki franchises. We buy inventory from manufacturer auctions all the time. We had a YZ250 come in that appeared stock other than a MaxRPMs.com swingarm sticker, Race Tech stickers on the forks, holes from a Scotts mounting bracket on the steering head and Dirt Rider.com stickers on the front fender. The wheels, rotors, triple clamps, handlebars, exhaust, etc. are all stock. The graphics and numbers were missing as was the rear caliper guard. I was looking around here to see if anyone knew if the bike was changed back to a 250cc cylinder.

Incidentally, I still have an '06 CRF450R with Dirt Rider.com fender stickers and a white #20 on black backgrounds. You can still see where someone removed the "Huffman" (Damon I assume)name from the plates. This bike came from a Honda auction.

If anyone has any more info on the YZ specs I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I think an RM250 bored out to 265 or 285cc would be cool. I'm sure it would put up a good fight with a 450, but since that's not what this is about, we just need to make it so good that even though we're not testing them just riding the 250 will make it feel much better than the 450 lol. Just take the RM250 slap on some barkbusters, a s/a silencer and a pipe. Don't forget the bore and some suspension refinements (pro citcuit, race tech...etc.) and some handlebar shock absorbers. Just for looks, we need a pair of gold excel rims, a seat cover and some mean looking decals. Look out 450's, this 2 stroke is comin' right up your alley!

Or I say to go with a CRF150R and try to make it off-road with what the companies have come out with so far in aftermarket parts. It would be great to see what the end result is for a new bike like this and see if it's capable of off-roading well.
