maybe I'm new but this web site does not readily become easy to use.  not complaining just ...not gettin no where with centralized voting. Guys keep saying we should go vote, but I find no way to do so.

..SO  I made my vote post for the 2006 TE-450 allready,  but yeah I think a woods/off road YZ250 could be a great bike for this or any forum to build.   I know I rode one in the woods and liked it.

Maybe Jean could use the voting tool on the homepage to put up questions for us to vote on. But then we could get people just throwing votes in there that arent even a part of this.

We need a thread where it is just strictly voting. Like the first post states what you are voting on and then gives numbered choices that people reply back and only say which numbers. I tried to do that but it didnt work too well becuase no one is really voting, they are just replying back to this thread which there is no point in doing so.

Everyone please cooperate and go to the "VOTE ON USE OF BIKE" thread and cast a vote. It would be greatly appreciated.

that page wouldn't open for me,  on another topic  how do you make this forum web page open and arrange the thread with the last post first? instead of making me push read more to flip thru to the last post all the time  or is there a fast way to get to the last post?

when in  doubt vote here, jimmy will scan read all this and get the jist.

Once the Bike is decided, then the other forums have mulitple threads , one for suspension/ one for body/ one for motor, etc  for peeps to post ideas on.      Those various posts on how to build the bike will be a mish mosh of ideas too  unless a real YZ250 expert speaks up......Jimmy will have to lean on his DR guys I guess.   I know no experts, but  I am curiuous about the YZ250 and how you guys may build it cuase I like that bike.   so....Ill hang around and listen in.

OK so what page is that page??not sure what you mean the link to the poll works and I see one other has voted so the forum? the cookie should if you are logged in show any new posts and well bring you to the post just after you late one you read in the topic.

If you are signed in it should only show you the new posts and give you the option to review the posts that came before that one.

This forum is hard to maneuver about at first but you become use to the way it works kind of.

really it said you had to register? hummm I know I have it set you have to vote to see the results and I have it set up so guest can post so its only assumed that guest should be able to vote with out having to register.

Oh well I am a member so it worked for me and I don’t know who the other voter was so I don’t know if they where a guest or member of my forum. if that one person could inform us of this I would know more if guest are able to vote or not. Any one else having this issue?

I think people prefer to keep it (thread) on the Dirt Rider board.

Ya people just cant seem to cooperate too well so I dont think that outside sites will work very well. It just going to have to stay on the DR boards. Jean, now you wish you had that upgrade for the boards! =)

Rock the vote! YZ250! ITS GONNA BE SICK!

BIKE IS DECIDED!

The Yamaha YZ250 is the bike we are going to use.

It seems there is a slight preferance for off-road type of a setup, but there were a few votes for MX as well. We have till tonight to get this finalized.

MX

or

Offroad

or

???

This is the only question for toady.

JIMMY

We'll keep the voting right here due to all the problems with external stuff, etc.

OffRoad but MX capable as well (I am also open to MX but off-road capable as well).

I like the idea of a bike thats capable of doing more than one type of event (for those of us that like both but can't afford multiple bikes; my second bike is my son's YZ85...)

I vote for an Enduro YZ250.   Why because  whenever I go work at major enduros like the Quicksilver, I see either KTM 250 exc or YZ250's running the best through out the day by the best riders.

I think an enduro bike theme allows us to really focus on stuff that matters like a the bars, the gearing, the fly wheel, the tank , the controls, computer,  whereas only a offroad/mx designation kind of blurs the meaning of the bike.

plus I would love to have a first rate enduro set up YZ250 in my garage

my $0.03
