Hey, I need the dimension of the hole where the header attaches to it. is it 1.5 inches?
I am curious because I have a pro circuit t4 pipe and would like to put a fmf megabombbomb header but dont know if it will fit.
or is there any other very nice headers other than a fmf megabombbomb?
this one?
or
this one?
thanks

As long as your getting one for your bike then it will fit.

you sure? most sellers and dealers dont know, I would hate to spend 400$ just to find out the part doesnt fit... again, just like the brake lever.
I measured my header and its 1.5 inches and thats stock, I think or if you need to be more precise, the inner diameter is 1 7/16.
can you mix and match exhaust brands like that? fmf + pro circuit? yoshiumura + fmf?

"again, just like the brake lever."
If I remember correctly you got the wrong one for your bike.
Yes the headers and mufflers are or should be the same so that you can fit them onto stock parts.

yes, I did get the wrong one for my bike, and I dont wanna make the same mistake with the header.
thats a good point, so a fmf megabomb would fit a stock exhaust?

another question: where the header and exhaust attaches, mine isint air tight, is that bad? how do I stop it form moving, I think its the exhaust that moves up and down 1/16th of an inch. how do you seal that part? I have a high temp putty stuff that turns into jb weld looking stuff, but it wiggles there so it just cracks off. would a high temp silicone be the way to go?

all pipes are made to be universal so that they can fit with stock pipes and headers like elko said.
think about it. you wouldnt be able to buy just a pipe or a header if it wasnt that way

The only difference on a mega bomb is the spot that the megabomb is in. The diameter of the rest of the pipe is the same as the stock one.
MM you may have to buy a midpipe so athat they fit together.

what do you mean a midpipe?
I think my exhaust has one, theres like a 2 foot long piece coming off my exhaust cannister. as long as the diameter is 1.5 inches I will be fine. my header is the same length as the ones I posted in the 1st post.
out of the 2 headers I posted, which would you choose, and why? whats the difference? the more expensive one from lytle racing looks like it was welded by a 4 yr old chinese kid in a sweatshop, whats with that?

ive bought off lytle racing on ebay before and was very impressed, they cut me an awesome deal on shipping too. theyre a pretty reputable source, most on ebay are.
can you buy directly from fmf online? wonder if its cheaper...

Not to take you away from FMF if thats what you have your heart set on, but i would look into pro circuit if i was you. i have alot of buddies on the crf's that like the pro circuits over the fmf headers after using them both...

well whats is the better header overall? all I can find is fmf on ebay...
otherwise I would consider a pro circuit. Ive heard that the megabomb is the best header you can get though, it looks pretty badass too.
