Just finished watching the race on CBS.It was so good to see that beautiful blue YZ 450 on the top of the podium and Chad Reed ontop of the series points list.
Nice job, hope he can keep it going!!!

Speed doesn't matter if you are on the ground. Chad rode a fast, smart pace.
The proof will be how he does next week with his new found confidence.

I think (may be wrong) it was after the San Francisco mud bath that Ricky said the fastest likely would not win the championship but the most consistent one who rode the smartest.
No doubt on a given lap Stewart is the fastest but that won't win him a championship if he keeps up ending up on the ground. Not sure what caused RC's slipup but in racing that can happen to anyone.
Can't wait for Indy; looks like it will be a good race!

AMEN!! Congratulations to #22. I believe you do have to keep it on 2 wheels to win. And that is something that Ricky and James can't do. I'm just glad that Chad got a win. Just to repeat he did have the fastest lap times of the entire day period!!!

It will be who ever can run the fastest consistently AND keep from stuffing their face into the dirt. So, it could be James, Ricky, Chad, or even Ivan (he looked good at the start...)

What was also nice about Reed's win was the way he thanked the team that helped him earn the win. It wasn't just some passing mention of his sponsors, it seemed like it was an actual heartfelt thank-you.
It was almost refreshing; someone who can lose without pointing fingers, and who can win with gratitude

if ricky and james didnt go down lets face it would have been james as 1st ricky as 2nd and chad as 3rd...the only reason james or ricky didnt have the fastest lap was because when they both wrecked something mechanically happenend to there bikes

DIDDO!! That is what I like so much about Chad he is humble. None of this me me me. As far as James and Ricky going down let me repeat Chad had faster lap times than james and ricky when they were in the race. Both heat and practice.

Neither Ricky nor James initial crashes were mechanical, James just lost the front again and then high sided (supposedly after hitting a tuff block). Ricky had his right hand come off and he dropped the front down in the whoops.
Ricky's shock collar broke a few laps after his first turn slip-up in the main (and he said later it had nothing to do with the crashes).
Chad did have the fastest lap times even before James dumped it, by the way, in the main.
