hey guys,
i am looking for new boots and i am torn between the alpinestar tech 3's and gaerne gx1. they are both the same price. do any of you have experience or recommendations with either of these boots? I have astars now and i know they are good boots but what about gaerne does anyone know about them? thanks

i am not a fan of alpine stars. but a friend of mine is. and i can tell you that the tech 3's have lasted him quite awhile and have no problems at all. not sure about the gaerne's

I have not experience with either boot but I can sure tell u to stay away from the oneal clutch boots. they suck. the only reason i got them is because a friend of mine got them cheap.

My son has alpine star and I use them quite often I am a fan. I have Fox , The type buckles I have snap open and are a beast to close. they break also, I guess that is why they came with 2 sets of replacements.

I have heard good and bad about many different boots and I think it all comes down to what you feel comfortable in. If you buy the most expensive boot out there but it doesn't have the fit you like then what good is it to you? I would try on many different brands to get an idea of whats best for you.

My son has tech 3's and has never had any issues.

thanks for the input guys. i decided im just gonna go to the dealer and try them on and get wichever fits best because i think they are both good

The Gaerne SG10 are the best boots ive ever had. They are great and feel broken in the first time you put them on. I tryed them all on and they feel the best. JMO
