Ok think of it this way MM, the longer you hold onto that bike the more its value decreases. The sooner you sell it the more money you can put on a new bike, if you sold it now you could almost pay off a brand new bike. You keep holding onto it the harder its going to get for you to sell it and your going to get almost no money for it. So the more money you have to take out of your wallet for a new bike.

Within the last 4 years the technology on the 4 stroke has skyrocketed. More then just EFI, stronger and better engines, better suspensions, better frames, steering dampers.

atvman_400:
It sounds like MM has a lot into his bike though. I bet he would give an '09 a run for its money. Remember, the bike is only as fast as the rider. MM would probably be better off taking an MX school than upgrading his bike.

Metal Mulisha:
nah, not trying to brag but im a pretty good rider, and all of my friends would vouch for me. my biggest weakness are the bikes suspension and turns to the right, I cant do them sharp. Ive always been scared of right turns and especially cuz I broke my right knee. even on a skatebord and mountain bike, I for some reason cant spin to the right (clockwise)

I believe you, but I doubt you're as good as the pros who teach the classes. They know the ins and outs of riding a bike. You'd be surprised. I would take one if I rode MX.

PC ignition

PC camshaft

MM what do you think of these. I know they are a bit more expensive, but from what I hear they are really worth the couple extra dollars.

mm if your suspension slows you down why dont you have PC or RG3 revalve it or what ever for your weight, ability,& style of riding.
i think that it would surprise you how much faster just that could make you.

If you want the fastest bike you can get your hands on, forget Honda and look at the KTM 505SX. Those things will pull away from any 450.

whats there to teach about riding in the trails? its all about experience, which I have LOTS of. I used to race downhill mountain bikes, so I know all about picking the right line, looking 30 or 40 feet ahead of you, not just 10 feet, manualing over all the bumps, proper corners. Im sure there are a few more things I could learn though.

I missed where you said that you don't ride MX.

I don't know about that. It may have more horsepower than a 505, but I doubt it makes better use of it. The last CR500 I rode just spun a lot and wore me out. I would put my 520 against it any day, and the 505SX smokes my 520.

Is that stage 2 hotcam? I have heard good things about both the hotcams and the PC cam. I don't even think you need rev box or ignition, it was just a suggestion.

yes its a stage 2.

I know I dont need one, but if I can pick one up for around 200$ I would prob get it. the more money I spend on my bike, means less money spent on stupid things.

The Aprilia RXV550 will smoke pretty much any other dirtbike out there, they are tanks though. The Husaberg 550 is another super powerful bike.
