i really prefer the MX four strokes over 2 strokes for trails just cuz of the bottom end power but i guess if a 2 stroke suits ur style then it would b the best choice

MY FRIEND HAS A CRF 250 AND I RODE IT ON THE TRAIL. THE BIKE HAS NO POWER RIGHT OFF THE BOTTOM. WHEN GOING THROUGH A ROCKY TRAIL THE POWER DOEN'T COME ON AT FIRST THEN IT HITS TO HARD. THE BOTTOM END ISN'T SMOOTH USEABLE POWER LIKE A 2 STROKE.

You would be fine on it, just ride it alot and get used to it.
