i race motocross and love it. but i saw a flat track race and thought it would be fun. i dont know if id race but just maybe practice. so i was wondring if anyone knows where some flat tracking tracks are? and what are the classes? i have a clapped out ke 100 that i plan on putting a better engine in since all the other bikes in the class are junk anyway... or should i just slide the fork tubes up in my yz 125 and hit the track with that.

On a very short shortrack that could be okay. But even short tracks have straights where you would get passed. I'd try it at least once. It is very fun.

First you need to get some 17 inch. wheels dirt track tires. then you need the get a hot shoe. That is a steel shoe made to fit you boot with a flat bottom. Then you need to get you supenion revalved for dirt track. That way it sit lower to the ground. The you take off the front brake. I think that it is AMA rule. I don't know. What you sad early about siding our fork tubes in the clamps. you can't do that if the forks are tapered. That all you have to do dirt track racing. But just don't go out there and try to do your fastest lap on the first lap. But try to go out with the fornt of your group for hot laps and try to run with them. But it might take a few years to get use to it. That all you need to do.
