its got a screwed up kick start gear youll have to replace the kickstart gear. since you have used ether i would just tear the motor down rebuild the crank & replace all the seals & measure the cylinder & all that i mentioned befor & youll be good DavidS

i had this same problem on a yz85. it had something to do with the gears inside the kickstarter. i dont remember exactly what it was. anyway, it was an easy fix. it had the same symptoms as yours does. kick, no resistance. kick, no resistance. kick, compression!

your kick start gear is stripped tyler. i dont know much about kawis but what i have told you applies to applies to all 2stk motors it dosent matter if its a weed eater so you need to replace you seals to be safe you wont know until its to late if your seals are bad. & you might as well rebuild while you have it apart because its a waste of time if you dont DavidS

the only way to see if the seals are bad is to do a leak down test & crank the case presure up to 6lbs DavidS
