Do you have a service manual? The service manual will tell you all the factory specs.

First things first. Do a leakdown test. A service manual will tell you how to do one. Mine says to pump 5-6 psi into the cylinder. It should lose no more then 1 psi over 5-6 minutes. If it passes the leakdown test then all your seals are most likely fine. If it fails then one of the seals will need replaced, and the cases might need split depending on which seal it is.

second the top end will need pulled off. Your service manual will go into explanation of everything that needs replaced. But here is a rundown: the cylinder bore, taper, and out-of-round. The crank small end inside diameter, and the crank large end side-to-side clarence. If you crank is fine then just buy a top end kit and a top end gasket kit, and a bearing for the top end. If the crank is bad then you might need a new crank or just bottom end bearings, if this is the case then the cases will need split and you should replace the seals while its apart.

I did not read through all the post but did you fix it? What mix ratio zare you running. I had a similar problem with a 99 yz 125 and the person who ran it before me ran it real rich. 32/1 is a great mix and if jetted right the bike should really run fine. Compression would be an issue. If its over 125 aren't you due for new top end? just some thoughts

The best part about your bike is you can pull it apart and put it back together again with a little time. You'll find out whats wrong with it then. keep your eyes peeled for any overworked pieces. thats the beauty of a two stroke.

That doesn't make a difference. It proves even more that your top end needs rebuilt. I would do the leakdown test first, because if the crank seal is bad then your going to have to tear the whole thing apart again.

It has nothing to do with a compression tester. The intake and exhaust ports need clogged. Then you pump 5-6 psi in through the intake port while its clogged. If it loses any psi within the first minute then you have a serious problem. It should lose no more then 1 psi over 5-6 minutes. Try googleing leakdown test. A service manual will show you exactly how to do it.

you can start the bike and put the crankcase vent tube in a bowl of water and if it bubbles then the crank seals are blown.

   Redneck version of leakdown test.
