The stock cylinder doesn't come out. It's attached as one whole piece. You can put a sleeve in it though. But a sleeve is a pain in the ass, they are a lot more work then people think and they don't last as long as replating does. I would just try calling those people and see if they can replate it back to stock bore. I have used them before and highly recommend them.

Replating costs 170, final price.

The sleeve may cost 100 but when your done getting it installed and getting it bored and everything is done your going to be easily over 200.

a new cylinder? not really. after replating its going to be like a brand new cylinder and your saving 200 dollars.

thanks elko, I was just wondering. it seems like a hastle getting it replated or putting a sleeve in, thats why I asked. the 200 might be worth it in the long run.

putting a sleeve in is a hastle and sleeves wear fast too. gettin it replated isnt that bad. all you do is remove everything off the jug and send it out in a box with a new piston. they will plate the cylinder to match the piston. then 5-10 days you will get your cylinder back.

ummmmmm is it just me or did you just insult people that were trying to help you??? & then ask for help to figure out why your bike is ideling to fast??? no 128 isnt good enough compression who ever told you that is an idiot & knows nothing about bikes! i got the compression figures i gave you straight out of my clymers manual & im sure elk did the same if not 135 is a standard on how low you let the compression on a bike go! as for the fast idle look in your manual or on the internet & find where the idle adjustment is on your carb & adjust it accordingly
