Yamaha has a CDI with matching part numbers for a G1 golf cart and this old IT 465, however their is a ground coming out of the G1 CDI but not one going in. On the original CDI the ground going in is connected to the ground coming off the Rotor Plate. No other discernible difference is to be noted, Can I ground the Stator strait to the frame, or is there a reason it goes through the CDI?
