Hey I might be getting a hook up on a new KX450 from the dealership. I'm more of a Yamaha guy, but my uncles friend owns a Kawasaki shop, and he said he would sell me one for cheap. I'll take anything right now since my bike is a 1999, and has a blown engine. I've never ridden a KX before, but the tests I read last night said it was pretty good for a 4 speed tranny bike. It will definitely be better than my YZ400 I've been riding forever, and since the engine blew last week, I have nothing to ride. If I do get it, I'll put up some pictures.

I would like to know if there are any flaws on it that I should know about before I do decide to buy it, so just let me know if you know of any.

Thats sucs i liked that bike lol but the way your bike blew last week and you have to get a kawi ( NO OFFENCE RM WHAT EVER DONT GET ALL PISSED OFF IM NOT TALKING ABOUT YOUR FRAGILE SUZUKIS AND I SPELLED IT RIGHT DONT GET OFFENDED) but yeah if i was in your postion i would want a Yamaha but since you could get a kawisaki for cheap oh well. My mom went to buy my dads bike today and,came back and said the guy couldnt sell it cheap because he sold anther the same bike(CRF450X) at the same price($6700) FOR 2 BIKES. IF that didnt make sense he sold the guy 2 bikes for the price of one!!!!!!!!!

WOW that's crazy! Yeah I would get a new CRF450, or a YZ450, but I can't. I'll be more than happy to ride a KX450.

Im a honda guy, but if I could get a new 450f for the cheap I would take the deal and run like real fast and hard from the dealer just so that there is not a chance of the dealer changing his mind.

the kawi is definatly a nice bike. my buddy just got one, i whipped it around alittle bit. it hooks up better than any bike i have ever ridden, the brakes work awsome and it'll drop into any line and stay there without to much trouble.  

That's awesome! The only bad thing is that it only has 4 gears.

you can still have plenty of fun on a 4 speed, its won shootouts. im a yamaha guy, but im considering a kx450

U wont have any trouble with the 4 speed. my Sx has that 4 speed, and I have never and any trouble with it. The only time I have used 4th gear yet was when I was riding out in the open fields of about 200 acres. Basically all you get with the 4 speed is a higher geared 1st gear, and a little lower 5th which would be the 4th gear...do you get what im saying? But duuude...the Kawi is a killer bike...if you dont want it..ill take it...lol.

Haha..i bet. I want a new 06 450 soo bad, but to bad I dont have the money.  My 03 does just fine and I really dont have one problem with the handling on the bike. At first I would have a bit of a problem with the front end wanting to wash out, so I just gave her a little more sag, and now she settles into the corners fine. Plus, once I get her ported, polished and the head moded, I will have more power than the new ones, so I guess I don't need a new one that bad.

But duude, imagine what a new 06 ported,polished, and the head moded would be like....uhhh.

Yeah that would be sweet! Yeah I'm going to port out my 400 engine. I have it all apart since the gear blew out. The weight of the '06 is what I want. Mine has an all steel frame. It's super heavy. That guy still hasnt called me about that new KX. I pretty much have given up hope on that deal.
