The motor has some drag, but not much. It's really good at coasting to safe some juice. We usually have to ride on the street for a bit in order to get to the riding area. It's best to just coast the downhills.
However more than one rider has tried to chop the throttle to bring the front end down. Ooops.

The real breakthrough has already happened with these 2nd generation Lithium cells that do not have thermal runaway (fire). The big issue has always been safety.
The next thing we need is for the big corperations to stop pretending that high powered electric vehicle batteries can't be built cheaply. They most certainly can.
Lithium batteries are so incredibly powerful. We have to limit the power from these lithium packs just so we don't shread the drivetrain. The next breakthrough is going to have to be a reduction in the price of these batteries.

Sounds like Dirt Rider and Mini Rider are going to be first.
I just have to make the time to deliver a bike to them. We are really busy right now filling orders. No use getting a bunch of orders we can't fill.
