Neal:
Have you had any problems with the wheels, hubs or spokes failing due to the hard impact of landing off of a big jump?
How heavy are the batteries?
Are there any other type of batteries available that would be lighter?
How tunable is the suspension? Keeping our Borders SAFE!

Hi Neal
I am intested in where your bike would fit into moto-cross racing.
Congrats on getting 4th of twenty at Prairie City with a girl rider.
Was that a Moto-cross race?
What class did you race? Mini 125 250 open
What skill level? Beginer Novice Intermediate Expert
What was race length laps total time
Battery type used Lithium other
What motocross class, etc, do you think we may be able to race your Lithium powered bike in and be competive?
both as a mini and the 125 class as a novice rider
If we get enough of your bikes on the market, we may have an Electric Class.
Wouldn't that be a quiet race we could hold in the city limits. What a pleasure that would be!!!!!!!!

In most states you can ride the Drift on the street as a motorized bicycle. Most states are making an exception for ALL ELECTRIC motorcycles that are under 30mph. We have a 1/2 speed switch that reduces the speed to around 25 and will make it road legal in the bike lane.
We ride it all around town and the police have been really nice about it. They really only care about noise.

Electricross is my company and I funded it myself. I've done a lot of product developement for the big companies, but this idea was too good to sell.
Right now we are looking for a partner/investors.
We have a lot of good pro riders in this area and they have been volenteering their time to test the bikes. These bikes open up a whole new channel of sponsership which is why all the pros are excited.

The wheeels are really really strong and light. The only thing about them is the rims get flats spots when hitting big rocks. We sell replacement rims for only $20 and your local bike shop can install them cheaply.
The batteries are #60, but the rest of the bike is only #80 so it's still light. The new Lithium batteries are only #30. They are awesome, but expensive.
When we sell a bike we change the springs out to suit the rider's weight. Every rider says that the suspension on the Drift is better than most gas bikes. I've got some suspension tricks in there.

Yes the idea is to have races inside the city limits. At Prarie city we were running with modified 125 four strokes and it was the right class. We used the Lithium battery because the deep sand (silt) was draining the regualar batteries too fast.
With electric bikes you can easily set the power level, but the run time is reduced with more power. At Prarie City it was a 20 minute moto and we ran the bike at 300 amps. On the straights she was definately reeling them in.
We should have run less power because the drive sprocket came loose. We'll get them next time.

Neal,
Is there any engine/motor braking? Is it totally free wheeling?

This is the last week Neal will be answering questions. He has been very generous with this time, but has to get back to his bike full time. If you have any questions for him, now is the time to ask.
Neal, thank you again for your time. Keep up posted on the bike!

"I thought Hangtown was in Rancho Cordova, just East of SAC." -Goon Its around that area. I live in Elk Grove and Prarie City is about 20-25 minutes north east of where I live. It is east of Sac. I use to race go-karts there. That place sucks for off road riding though. Its small. Hangtown is right next to Prarie City. The gate to Hangtown is about 30 seconds up the road from the prarie city gate. Its really close. __________________________________________

Hi Neal
Are your battery suppliers working on a new breakthrough beyond Lithium?
I see that HP is advertizing an Ultra Capacity battery in their latest PC.

Hey Neal
Are you going to have a write up from some one on a test ride on your bike. Would be most interested in results from a professional rider.
Electrics rule.
