my son downloads it to Iphoto then to Imovie where I can edit out 90percent of it and make a good clip.  On a pc you can use windows movie to edit i think.

Now I have a new problem.  When I attempt to upload my video to youtube I get a  message that reads, "upload failed, unknown error"  I hit retry, but the same message comes up.  When I click on my videos "properties", there is no information for file size, length, whatever.  Can anyone help me through this?

Are you sure you are uploading the right file?

I think so.  However, I am uploading it from where I saved it to in my documents.  Maybe it lost its video powers by getting saved over there?  I don't know where else to save it to.  Also, can anyone help me with using windows movie maker?  I can create a story board with different video clips, and all, but can't make it save it as I've created it, but lose it when I try to navigate around...

I'm thinking there might be multiple files on your computer when you originally saved it and you may have just saved an empty file by accident.

there were multiple video files at one time, and I deleted all but two.  I will go back in and see if I can make my saved file run as a movie...

It runs on my computer, so I am at an impasse.  Anyone out there with moviemaker experience?  By the way, this was my first time ever seeing a forum (on DR) and I went to the moviemaker forum so I could get some answers but they acted like I was an idiot (which I am) and didn't take the time to help me out     By contrast this is a very good forum board, maybe because riding dirt bikes bring out the best people?

Is there any way you can figure out what the file extension of the video is? The file extension is the letters after the . like in a picture file, the jpg is the extension in dirtbike.jpg

It may not be the correct format to upload thus causing an error.

None of my pictures have extensions either.  But of course they upload with no problem.   Oh, I see here it says it opens with itunes.  I just changed it to opens with moviemaker.  Maybe that might help...

It might not show an extension unless you do the right click/properties thing.
