Super, there really isn't much point in discussing anything until we've been extended an invitation. All it will do is create divisiveness that could possibly turn Jimmy off to inviting us. We can debate all we want on what bike, what mods, who rides, etc... AFTER we get invited. All I'm asking is for you to respect that and help this forum's members to convince Jimmy to invite DR.com. Nothing more, nothing less. Thanks for your cooperation.

Superhero, I like that you posted this thread, but I have to agree with CycleWriter that we're all over the place and we should keep everything to one thread.  Don't take this as a slam on you, but with three theads going we look less organized.

Let this be the last post on this thread, and let's keep all discussion of the 24 hour in the original post.

Thanks CycleWriter, and thank you everyone for getting involved so quickly and with such enthusiasm.

I think that the ktm 300 is a great choice, But it should be the XC. Everybody is too 4 stroke crazy now days.  I might be nuts but I think that it would be cool to set the bike up for WORCS style racing, thosw bikes need to be reliable but a little more on the agresice side.

The 300 XC or XC-W is a 2 stroke.

Anyway, All the discussion about the 24hr Wanka test is on the other thread.

Awesome another KTM enthusiast on board for the 300 we have to show the manufactures  that given a choose  we chose a two stroke bike.
The 300 is aggressive and I can see some here thinking it to much for them to handle. Some are voting for school boy size bikes as so easier to handle. With diminishing riding skills I would see some voting for smaller bikes where as people who race with honed racing skills would prefer  an agile aggressive machine. The 300 would out perform any 450 four stroke as well as any lesser two stroke.  But this is not race as so many have told me repeatedly so guess they well pick some thing small and easy to ride rather then a crisp fast bike thats out of their league

Well I can bet you all know Ill be voting KTM I think we should go with the KTM 250cc XC-F-W four cycle now that we know now thats the bike being tested. We are more likely to get one donated. We can put in a Rekluse Auto-Clutch and a oversized tank from IMS or Clark with the G-zero Inertia Eliminating Foam from WeaponMX. Tire balls from www.tireballs.com. Skide plates shark fins. We can trick it out and see how well it performs with the after market parts.

Please direct all on-topic discussion regarding the dritrider.com internet team and bike into the threads created under the “Dirt Rider 24 Hr Internet Team” folder.

Please stay on topic.  We have a lot to get done, and we’re going to do a lot of good for people other than ourselves.
