i had a old husky cr 250. 86 i think. and i got rid of it because i couldnt find a single part for it. it was a ok bike. really wasnt as fast as the other bikes of the same year. lots og bottom though. but i couldnt find anything for it. this was before ebay and such but still i wouldnt buy the bike for that reason. buy a japanese bike. i have a 88 honda and other than seat covers and graphics and have had absolutely 0 trouble finding any part i have need so far. no matter how big or small.

in the end its up to you. just letting you know its nice to have confidence that you can find that part when you need it. not have your bike sitting broken all summer waiting for it to show up on ebay IMO.

I'm pretty sure the 87 CR250 Husky was a one-year model with the power-valve. A first for Husky. Plus that was right when Cagiva bought Husky. If you really plan on riding the bike, I steer away from that one.

The Husqvarna would be good for a collection or just to have, but go with something more common for your primary bike. I found a bunch of late 1980's and early 1990's Honda CR250's last night on craigslist, most of them were under $1000. I would look for one of those, they have much more power than the 125 and they are much easier to find parts for than the Husky.
